2022 Janzen Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

$100.00

Coming out of one of the wettest winters on record, 2022 saw three very dry spring months leading to an early bud break. All the water we accumulated in the winter allowed the vines to coast through a warmer than usual summer without showing any signs of being overstressed allowing for fairly long hang times and a large yield of very ripe fruit at harvest.

A blending of our estate cabernet vineyards with smaller parts from our Beckstoffer farmed sites creates a bright and balanced cabernet. An enticing mix of sweet oak, spice and dark berry fruit are immediately apparent on the nose. A full but balanced mouthfeel and elegant finish with soft tannins make this a great offering to enjoy in it’s youthful years while maintaining enough structure to drink elegantly over the course of the next 12-14 years.

Sweet red and black fruits, leather, spicy oak, sagebrush, and a kiss of incense define the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Janzen Napa Valley, another charming, forward, delicious wine from this estate. It's nicely balanced, has ripe tannins, and outstanding length. It should have a solid 8-10 years of prime drinking.
