The 2022 vintage delivered a generous crop with exceptional ripeness and color, thanks in part to an intensely hot harvest season, with sustained days in the high 90s throughout September. The result is a remarkably rich wine with impressive volume and mouthfeel.

The Cabernet components for this blend come from some of Napa Valley’s most prestigious vineyards, including Beckstoffer To Kalon, Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper, and our own Cloudy’s Vineyard. In keeping with our classic blend style, small additions of Merlot and Malbec help soften the tannic structure of our estate Cabernet.

The 2022 Bacio Divino continues to stand out, boasting opulent fruit and vibrant energy. Aromatic notes of sweet vanilla, plum, and black cherry lead into a palate layered with lush, abundant fruit, a rich, creamy mouthfeel, and fine-grained tannins on the finish. This wine shows every sign of aging gracefully and should evolve beautifully in your cellar through 2035.

Primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2022 Artful Red Wine hews close to the house style, with ample weight and ripeness carrying the day. Scents of cedar and vanilla accent bold black cherries on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is smooth and creamy—a plushly tannic garden of earthy delights, so long as you don't mind a suggestion of warmth on the lingering, slightly coarse finish.  - Joe Czerwinski
